Private Staff Vetting
The Praetorian Vetting Standard
UHNW Private Staff Vetting. The Standard That Matters.
The most consequential security decision a Principal makes is rarely architectural. It is human. Every individual permitted into the private orbit. The estate manager who holds the master key, the PA who controls the diary, the nanny who knows the school run, represents an access point to your life that no gate, camera, or alarm system can compensate for. At Praetorian, our private staff vetting programme is conducted to a standard benchmarked against UKSV Security Check (SC) methodology: the same standard applied to individuals granted access to classified government assets. We apply that same clinical rigour to the individuals granted access to you. The output is not a compliance certificate. It is an Intelligence Dossier.

Where the Industry Standard Falls Short
BS7858 is the compliance floor, not the operational ceiling. It was designed for volume screening in commercial environments, not for Principals whose staff carry knowledge of their movements, their family, their finances, and their private life. The gap between standard vetting and what this environment actually demands is not marginal. It is the difference between a form that has been completed and an individual who has been genuinely understood.

The Praetorian Sovereign Standard
Our programme combines BS7858:2019 and NPSA BPSS with intelligence-led analysis benchmarked against UKSV SC-level protocol. Every engagement spans ten structured analytical dimensions, conducted with total independence from both the commissioning party and the subject. We investigate the gaps, not just the record. We assess financial resilience, not just financial history. We conduct a structured behavioural interview. Led by a consultant with a background in police interview technique, to distinguish honest omission from deliberate concealment. A distinction no database can make.

The Intelligence Dossier
Every engagement concludes with a formal Intelligence Dossier: a controlled document, numbered by copy, restricted to named recipients, and disseminated via encrypted channel. It is not a certificate. It is a calibrated analytical picture; With consultant findings across every dimension, a formal recommendation, and where applicable, a precise set of time-limited conditions to manage any identified risk. The outcome is never a simple pass or fail. It is the cold truth, with the depth required to act on it.

Roles We Vet
Our programme covers every individual who enters the Principal's orbit. Regardless of profession, seniority, or frequency of contact. Estate and House Managers. Personal and Executive Assistants. Private Chefs, Butlers, and domestic personnel. Nannies, Governesses, and Tutors. Chauffeurs, Close Protection Drivers, and full CP teams. Security and Gate Personnel. Private Medical staff, including Doctors and Paramedics. IT Administrators with access to private networks. Pilots, yacht crew, personal trainers, therapists, and contractors granted estate access. The role title is secondary. If the individual has access to the Principal's life, they fall within scope.

Ongoing Re-Vetting
Vetting is a snapshot. Annual re-vetting is our standard recommendation for all staff in elevated-access roles. A structured review of conditions, an updated picture of the individual's circumstances, and the opportunity to confirm or revise clearance. Where conditions have been satisfied and no further concerns arise, unconditional clearance is formally confirmed. Trust is not a one-time transaction. It is a position that must continue to be earned.
